# Quickstart

> Turn any website into clean markdown with one API call.

Sila scrapes a page or crawls a whole site and returns clean markdown plus page signals.

**1. Create an API key**

Sign in at sila.sh, open **API keys**, and click **Create key**. Copy it; Sila shows it once.

**2. Scrape a page**

**3. Crawl a site**

```

Then fetch results from `GET /v1/crawls/{id}/pages`.
