# Get usage

> GET /v1/usage returns your credits for the current month.

`GET https://api.sila.sh/v1/usage`

Returns the credits you have used and have left in the current UTC calendar month. The [CLI](https://docs.sila.sh/cli.md) and the [MCP server](https://docs.sila.sh/mcp-server.md) use this endpoint.

| Field | Description |
| - | - |
| `period` | The current month as `YYYY-MM` (UTC). |
| `creditsUsed` | Credits charged so far this month. |
| `monthlyCredits` | Credits your plan includes each month. |
| `remainingCredits` | `monthlyCredits` minus `creditsUsed`, never below `0`. |
| `scrapes` | Pages returned by `POST /v1/scrape` this month. |
| `crawlPages` | Pages stored by crawls this month. |
| `plan` | `free`, `pro`, or `scale`. See [Credits and plans](https://docs.sila.sh/credits-and-plans.md). |

## Errors

| Status | Code | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| 401 | `unauthorized` | Invalid API key. |
| 429 | `rate_limited` | Too many requests. |
