# Cancel a crawl

> POST /v1/crawls/{id}/cancel stops a queued or running crawl.

`POST https://api.sila.sh/v1/crawls/{id}/cancel`

## Responses

Queued or running crawl, `202`:

A crawl that already finished returns `200` with its current status. Pages stored before the cancel stay available and keep their credits charged. Sila sends a `crawl.canceled` webhook when the crawl stops.
